Privacy policy, in plain words.
The short version. This is a staff app. It shows the tee sheet of the club whose address you typed in, and it stores nothing except what it needs to keep doing that on your device. It has no analytics, no advertising and no account of ours. The bookings it shows belong to the club, and live on the club's own booking system, which Outasker hosts for the club.

Who this app is for
The app is used by the staff of a golf club that runs its bookings on the Outasker tee sheet. A golfer never installs it. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.

What the app stores on the device
In private app storage that no other app can read:
- The address of the club's booking system you connected to.
- A sign-in token that the club's system issued to this device, the username you signed in with and its role. The token is what keeps you signed in; it is revoked on the club's system when you sign out.
- The device name you typed at sign-in, so the club can tell its devices apart.
- The last few days of the tee sheet you looked at, so the sheet appears at once and stays readable if the connection drops. This can include the names, phone numbers and notes the club recorded against its bookings.
- Changes you made while the connection was down, kept only until they are sent.
- Your settings: language, counter mode, whether this is the desk device, and when the app last checked for a newer version.

What the app sends, and to whom
To the club's own booking system, at the address you connected to: your username and password when you sign in, the device name, everything you do on the sheet (bookings, moves, cancellations, notes), and a push registration so that system can alert this device when a request arrives. The club's system is hosted by Outasker on the club's behalf; what the club records there is governed by the club's agreement with Outasker and by the club's own policies towards its golfers.

To Google, through Firebase Cloud Messaging, so the club's system can wake the device with an alert: a push token that identifies this installation of the app and nothing about you or the bookings. On a device without Google services none of this happens and the app simply checks the sheet itself every thirty seconds. The optional QR scan on the connect screen uses the Google Play services code scanner; the camera image is handled by that Google module on the device, and the app receives only the text of the code. Both are covered by Google's privacy policy.

To outasker.com, at most once a day while the connect screen is open: a request for a small file that says which version of the app is the newest. Our web server keeps the ordinary access log for that request (the device's IP address, the time and the app's user agent) for a short period for security and fault finding, and nothing else. The app never downloads or installs anything by itself.

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else. There is no advertising and no analytics or crash reporting service in the app.

Permissions
Internet, to reach the club's system. Notifications, asked for once on Android 13 and later, so a booking request can light the tablet up; declining it only means the app checks the sheet itself. There is no camera permission of the app's own: the QR scan opens Google's scanner, which asks for the camera itself if it needs to.

How long, and how to remove it
Sign out revokes the device's token on the club's system, removes the push registration there, and forgets the session on the device. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on the device. The cached sheet is a rolling window of a few days and older days are dropped as new ones arrive. Records on the club's own booking system are the club's, and are kept and deleted under the club's agreement with Outasker.

Asking for your data to be deleted
To have the data TeeSala holds about you deleted, do these in order. 1. Sign out in the app's Settings. That revokes this device's token and its push registration on the club's system at once. 2. Uninstall the app. That removes everything it stored on the device. 3. Ask the club's manager to remove your staff account from the club's booking system, or write to tom@outasker.com naming the club and the username, and Outasker will do it with the club within 30 days. Deleted: the staff account, its sign-in tokens and device names, and its push registrations. Kept: the bookings and the actions taken on them that were recorded against the club's sheet, which are the club's own business records and stay with the club under its agreement with Outasker; and our web server's ordinary access log, which expires on its own within 30 days.

Security
Every connection the app makes is over HTTPS. The sign-in token is held in the app's private storage and is never written anywhere else. The app is built and signed by an automated build from a source repository, and every published build is listed on the download page with its version and date.
